SDS compliance requirement
In an effort to support the initiative of the Government of Canada, TRU accepts only SDS-qualified applications from students who reside in India. This implies applicants should have met TRU's minimum entry requirements for direct admission to their program of choice. SDS also requires a full payment of tuition for the applicant’s first year of study. More information can be found at: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/direct-stream.html.
TRU’s pre-assessment application process is free of charge. This is not a paid service. If you are invited to apply to TRU as a result of this pre-assessment, you will then be required to pay the non-refundable $100 application fee.
Programs are updated in real time and you will only be able to see available programs.
TRU's Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (GCES) and Master of Education programs lead graduates to career outcomes in a diverse range of education settings. You can see all the career paths here.

Direct admission for post-baccalaureate diploma in applied data science and post-baccalaureate in tourism destination development, students must meet admission requirements with overall 6.5 and no bands scores below 6.0.

Applications cannot be processed until a faculty member has indicated they will act as supervisor for the student's thesis. This is because the thesis research constitutes the major portion of the MScES program.
Thus, students should begin by contacting faculty in the program that share similar research interests. This should be done before the application is submitted. There are no guarantees that a supervisor can be identified, as this is determined by current funding and research opportunities in each faculty member's lab.
Contact Faculty
Applications cannot be completely processed until a faculty member has indicated they will act as supervisor for the student's thesis.
IELTS requirement is 7.0 overall, with no bands below 7.0 in Speaking, 7.0 in Writing, 7.5 in Listening and 6.5 in Reading. Applicants with 7.0 overall, no bands below 6.5 may be considered.
The Master of Science in Data Science has very specific requirements that can be found here. Applicants are required to complete the knowledge mapping form and include it with this pre-assessment application.
Students who only have the bare minimum in the knowledge mapping form are unlikely to obtain admission. Competitive candidates will have a unique, dedicated course for most of the items listed on the third page of the Knowledge Mapping Form: the column labelled as "desirable knowledge and skills".
Unfortunately, you cannot submit this application until you have the knowledge mapping form completed.
Please return to www.tru.ca/ipreapply to submit a new application when you have the knowledge mapping form ready to include in your pre-assessment application.
Once this form is submitted, the applicant may receive an email with the next steps to book a video interview appointment. Once the interview is completed, we will revert with the result of the assessment. Failure to appear for the interview may lead to a refusal.
